Save a scene’s design, layout, and overlays to quickly reuse it across projects in the same studio. Saved scenes let you keep a consistent look and speed up editing when working with multiple projects.

Step by step
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.

Customize the scene’s layout, design, and overlays. You can adjust:
Layout: Saves the predefined layout you selected.
Design: Background, corner radius, spacing.
Overlays (text, photo, or video): Saved with all properties including animations, position, and duration.
At the bottom of the canvas, click Scene.
Click Save scene.
The scene appears in the Scenes panel with the saved layout, design, and overlays.- Choose whether to apply the scene to only this scene or to all similar scenes. From the menu below the video canvas:
- Select This scene to apply the layout only to the current scene.
- Select Similar scenes to apply the layout only to the scenes that have the same participants and currently share the same layout.
Apply a saved scene to your edit
Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
In the toolbar below the canvas, click the Scene button to open the Your scenes panel.
Click the saved scene you want to apply.
The saved scene’s layout, design, and overlays are applied to your edit.- Choose whether to apply the layout to only this scene or to all similar scenes. From the menu below the video canvas:
- Select This scene to apply the layout only to the current scene.
- Select Similar scenes to apply the layout only to the scenes that have the same participants and currently share the same layout.
Delete a saved scene
Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
In the toolbar below the canvas, click the Scene button to open the Your scenes panel.
Hover over the relevant saved scene and click the trash icon to delete the scene.
Good to know
Scenes are saved at the studio level and are available across all projects within the same studio.
