I can't record or start my live stream

Follow these steps when:

• You see one of the following error messages:
  • "An error occurred: StartingBroadcast"
  • "An error occurred: ArchiveBroadcast"
• You are unable to record
• You are unable to start a live stream from the studio

Likely causes:

While these error messages can point to the studio generally, they're most closely tied with live stream failures from the server side because of bad credentials in the studio settings.

Suggested troubleshooting steps

• Refresh the page.
• Join a different studio (or create a new one) and check if the error appears there.
• If you're streaming with RTMP, update your Stream Key and URL.
• If you're streaming to a one-click destination, disconnect and re-add it.
• If you did not want to live stream, toggle off streaming for your recording session.
