Follow these steps when:
- Your desired microphone is not appearing in the lobby's menu or in the studio's menu
Likely causes:
The absence of a microphone in the lobby or studio is likely a result of incorrect permissions settings, a faulty physical connection, or an out of date browser.
Suggested troubleshooting steps
- Refresh the page in your browser.
- Confirm that Riverside has permission to access your mic.
- If you have never allowed your browser access to the computer's microphone or camera, you may see an alert ('Permission Denied') and need to enable this in your computer's settings.
- Check if the microphone is selectable at the start of this browser-based pre-call test.
- If you are using an external microphone, check its physical connection to your computer.
- Avoid using USB hubs or adapters to connect the camera to your computer.
- Update to the latest version of the Chrome or Edge browser.
- Use Riverside from a different web browser.
