Add a new chapter
Add a new chapter from the transcript or timeline to mark key moments in your edit.

Add a chapter using the timeline
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- In beginning or end of the timeline, click the
Plus icon.
Or, hover between sections and click the - Click Add chapter.

Add a chapter using the transcript
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- On the transcript, hover between a paragraph and click the
- From the menu, click Add chapter.
Remove a chapter
Delete a chapter directly from the transcript or timeline and keep its content in your edit.
- Log in to your Riverside account.
- Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
- Hover your cursor over a chapter heading in the transcript.
- Click ••• [the three dots].
- Click Remove chapter.
The earlier chapter expands to include the content of the removed chapter.
Good to know
If you delete parts of the recording, click Revert to restore them along with their original chapters. Dragging the deleted clips back to the timeline will not restore the chapters automatically.
