Rename a chapter

Use chapters to navigate, group, and rearrange your edit. Rename any chapter, AI-generated or one you added, to keep your structure clear.

Step by step

To rename a chapter that Riverside created automatically or a chapter you added yourself, follow the steps below.

  • Rename chapter using the timeline

    1. Log in to your Riverside account.
    2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
    3. Above the timeline, hover your cursor over a chapter tab.
    4. Click ••• [the three dots].
    5. Click edit-rename.svg Rename.
    6. Type in a new chapter heading and press Enter.

  • Rename chapter using the transcript

    1. Log in to your Riverside account.
    2. Open a recording in the editor or upload an external file to start editing.
    3. Scroll to a chapter heading in the transcript.
    4. Hover your cursor over the heading.
    5. Click ••• [the three dots].
    6. Click edit-rename.svg Rename.
    7. Type in a new chapter heading and press Enter.
