Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Navigate to the relevant studio.
  3. From the sidebar on the left, click Hosting.
  4. At the top of the page, click the Video hosting tab.
  5. In the top right corner of the page, click ••• [the three dots]
  6. Click Settings.
  7. Next to Domain restrictions, click the toggle-on.svg toggle to turn it on.
Turning this on restricts every embed on your account to the domains you list below.
  8. In the field, enter each domain where your embeds are allowed to play, separated by commas. Changes to your domain list take effect immediately
    • Enter the domain only, without https:// at the start. For example, use riverside.com, not https://riverside.com.
    • If you already have embeds live on other domains, they stop playing as soon as you turn on or update the restriction, unless you add those domains to the list.

  • Domain restrictions apply at the account level to all your embeds. You cannot set a different domain list per studio, production, or individual embed.
  • Turning on domain restrictions does not block anyone from copying your embed code. It only blocks the video from playing on a domain you have not approved.
  • If a domain is not on your approved list, viewers see "This content is not authorized to be embedded on this website" instead of the recording.
