Step by step

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. Navigate to the relevant studio.
  3. From the sidebar on the left, click Webinar.
  4. Under All events, click the relevant webinar.
    The Overview tab opens.
  1. Click the Audience tab.
  2. To open the upload window:
    • If the webinar has no registrants yet, click Upload CSV.
    • If the webinar already has registrants, click the Icon Button · Add registrants.svg Add registrants icon above the registrant table.
  3. To use in a file that already matches your registration form, click Download template. The template includes a column for first name, last name, email, and each of your custom registration fields.
You don't have to use the template. Riverside matches columns automatically, including the column names in a Zoom registrant export.
  4. Click Select a CSV file and choose your file, or drag the file into the window.
  5. Click Import.
  6. If your webinar is recurring or part of a series, choose who to add the list to:
    • This event only
    • This and following events
    • All events

Imported registrants appear in the registrant table with CSV import in the Referrer column.

  • Imported registrants are registered and approved automatically.
  • Registrants automatically get the webinar's confirmation email, calendar invite, and reminders, based on your email notification settings, so only include people who've agreed to join.
  • You can upload 1 CSV file at a time, with up to 5,000 rows, and only for upcoming live webinars.
  • Rows with a missing first name, last name, or email are skipped, and so are emails that are already registered. The rest of the file still imports, and existing registrant details are never overwritten.
  • Domain restrictions don't apply to uploaded registrants.
  • For the best results, start from the template and keep its column names. Unrecognized columns are ignored.
