Allow Riverside to access your mic and camera

When you record with Riverside for the first time or record in a new browser, you must allow it to use your microphone and camera so you can be seen and heard in the studio.

Camera and mic permissions

Step by step

  1. Using your computer browser, join a Riverside studio.
  2. Click Allow camera and mic.
  3. From the permissions menu, click the camera and microphone drop downs and select the desired devices.
If you're using Google Chrome, toggle on Microphone and Camera.
If you're using Microsoft Edge, click the dropdown next Camera or Microphone and select Allow.
  4. Click Allow while visiting this site.
  5. On the left side of the page, look for the video preview.
Use the menus to change the camera, microphone, and audio output.
  6. Click Join Studio.

If you have never allowed your browser access to the computer's microphone or camera, you may see an alert ('Permission Denied') and need to enable this in your computer's settings.
